OWGRE (OWEER Gap Analysis and Reprioritisation)

Project Focus:

image position on the right

The Crown Estate has commissioned a deep dive review of the Offshore Wind Environmental Evidence Register (OWEER): the OWEER Gap Analysis and Reprioritisation (OWGRE). This will help us to understand the status of the evidence gaps listed in the register - whether they have been closed, are partially closed or are expected to be closed by the Crown Estate’s Offshore Wind Evidence and Change (OWEC) funded projects and a selected number of other research and evidence programmes as advised by the Project Advisory Group and the OWEC Technical Steering Group.

OWGRE will help provide insight into how the OWEER has shifted the dial in closing evidence gaps, with this analysis helping reprioritise the current OWEER version 6, and feed into the development of version 7. This will be a truly collaborative project – delivered by the Joint Nature Conservation Committee in collaboration with the UK Government and Devolved Administrations, government Arms Length Bodies, NGOs and the offshore wind industry
