In Phase 1, the project assessed the seabed geology data requirements of a range of stakeholders including The Crown Estate, developers and researchers. Data requirements were assessed by way of stakeholder interviews, surfacing the fact that data users do not currently have access to the data with adequate quality and coverage. BGS conducted a thorough review of existing data sets and organised the various opportunities for data improvements into priority groups. This phase allows TCE and others to target potential future data creation activity towards the specific needs of end users.
