Description

This document contains Supplementary Environmental Information (SEI) relating to Centrica Renewable Energy
Limited’s application for consent to construct and operate the Docking Shoal Offshore Wind Farm (Centrica
(DSW) Limited) and the Race Bank Offshore Wind Farm (Centrica (RBW) Limited) in The Greater Wash. The
original consent application for Docking Shoal was made on 9th December 2008 and for Race Bank on 23rd
January 2009. The proposed Race Bank Offshore Wind Farm would also extend over an area of approximately 75 km2, and with
an installed capacity of up to 620 MW. It is situated approximately 27 km from the nearest landfall on the north
Norfolk coast at Blakeney Point, and approximately 28 km from the nearest point on the Lincolnshire coastline,
Chapel Point, Chapel St. Leonards.
Following the submission of the consent applications for the Docking Shoal and Race Bank Offshore Wind Farms
a detailed consultation process was undertaken with a range of statutory consultees, key stakeholders and the
general public. Since the submissions, additional items of work have been carried out to enhance the information
in the original Environmental Statements (ESs).
