Description

This report provides an assessment of the biological and human noise impact of the array based on noise source models and noise propagation models that are described in section 2.
The raw data for the analysis of noise sources is derived from measured data taken on the 1.2MW Seagen turbine at Strangford Lough; this comprised data sets acquired by Kongsberg and by ISVR, supplemented by data acquired by ISVR under a TSB funded project and data on construction noise measured by Subacoustech Ltd]. A semi-empirical underwater noise propagation model has been derived from the same data sets to predict the sound propagation to large distances.
