Description

The Lincs OWF Project involves the development of an offshore wind farm off the coast of Skegness
(Lincolnshire) by Centrica Renewable Energy. The development of the wind farm will include the
installation of an export cable running from the wind farm site across The Wash to a landfall near
Sutton Bridge (Lincolnshire).
Additional survey works of the Lincs Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) were to be undertaken by EGSi in
relation to the previous pre-construction geophysical survey works of the site carried out in Summer
2010 by EGSi.
The survey requirements were for sub-bottom profiler (SBP) surveys along both the east and west
export cable routes. The intention of the survey was to obtain high quality continuous shallow
geology information, of the top 3 metres below the seabed, along the full length of both cables from
the shallowest point of approach to the substation structure which will inform installation decisions.
